My Dog Suffers From A Heart Condition

I have a small terrier who suffers from a heart condition; he is on a range of different foods and supplements and Im currently thinking of switching brands because I think hes getting a little bored of eating the same food every day. Currently Im looking at a company called Purina dog food - the reason why Im looking at this particular brand is because my vet recommended it and she gives it to her dogs and they love the taste.

Also from what I can see on the company website there is a wide range and it seems to give a lot of the proteins and fats that dogs crave. The food that Im going for are the Purina veterinary diet pouches. This is because they have a comprehensive range of special diets that are suitable for my dogs condition. I have read a few online reviews of this product and have heard only good things. I just wanted to know if anyone here has also tried their Purina pro plan range and has noticed a difference in their dogs well-being?

Also under the advice of my vet Im going to be buying my pet food online for once, as she told me that you can make considerable savings off retail prices. Im not really an Internet person myself as you can probably tell, but I am willing to give an online pet shop a try. I was a little concerned about giving my credit card details and was wondering if people on here think its safe to buy from online pet shops?

Also, I have a bundle of leaflets that are telling me the different exercises and body massages that are designed for my dog to help with his condition. Can anyone give me advice on what sort of exercises are good for dogs with heart conditions? Is there any special equipment I can buy online to help them out with exercise?

If anyone has any other advice they can give me it would be much appreciated as this is my first and only dog I have owned and Im not really experienced with looking after animals that have serious health problems.
